Trauma Therapy in The Hague and Amsterdam (CBT, EMDR & NET)
I offer trauma therapy in The Hague and Amsterdam using evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET).
Sessions are available in English, Spanish, and Catalan, both in person and online across the Netherlands.
Evidence-Based Trauma Treatment
Traumatic experiences can remain stored in the nervous system and continue to affect daily life. Evidence-based trauma therapy helps the brain process these experiences safely and effectively.
I integrate three scientifically supported approaches:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR helps reprocess distressing memories so they lose emotional intensity. It is widely recommended for PTSD and trauma-related symptoms.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT addresses trauma-related beliefs, avoidance patterns and anxiety responses. It combines cognitive restructuring with gradual exposure work.
Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET)
NET is particularly effective for individuals who have experienced multiple or complex traumatic events. It helps organise fragmented memories into a coherent life narrative.
Treatment is structured and paced carefully, beginning with stabilisation before trauma processing starts.
When to Consider Trauma Therapy
You may benefit from trauma therapy if you experience:
• Intrusive memories or flashbacks
• Nightmares
• Hypervigilance
• Panic symptoms
• Emotional numbness
• Avoidance of reminders
• Persistent shame or guilt
• Difficulty regulating emotions
Trauma may result from childhood adversity, abuse, medical events, accidents, relational trauma, migration experiences or sudden loss.

Structured and Professional Approach

The goal is not to erase memories, but to reduce their emotional impact and restore psychological flexibility.
